Binance charity is a branch of the Binance platform. It is intended to promote philanthropic projects. You know that blockchain is a great technology, right. You also know that she can also serve philantrophic causes, no?
Well, here is a new article to certainly talk about the blockchain, but from an ethical point of view if I may say so because we are going to be interested in a new project in favor of women. Oh yeah!
An initiative supported by Binance Charity
Recently, a group of companies all working in blockchain united to support a philanthropic project focused on the African continent. Directed by Binance Charity Foundation (BCF), the charitable arm of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Thus, the initiative will involve the creation of a token aimed at women.
The token is named Pink Care Token (PCAT), a stablecoin that will be mined on the Binance Chain.
Here's the video - even if it's a bit too much in its realization, the idea behind it is honorable.
The project will help channel funds into Uganda for the purchase of hygiene products, for example, which many women do not have access.
The first batch of Pink Care tokens and sanitary napkins is expected to be delivered in-country in mid-July to Uganda. Moreover, as of the day I write this article, this launch would be imminent.
The “Pink Care Token is the first social impact stablecoin released on Binance Chain. We are delighted to see that such projects are taking shape.
“Part of this is to promote the adoption of cryptocurrency. Jee believes that charity is one of the most effective ways to bring the value of cryptocurrency to more people,” said Changpeng Zhao (CZ), CEO of Binance.
Major blockchain and financial companies that have announced their support for this initiative include Ripple, Tron, Vechain, Matic, Arrington Capital and Celer to name a few.
Quite clearly, as the crypto-economy has gained momentum and its early adopters have had outsized returns, many supporters of the ecosystem have sought to share their success with the world through altruistic means.
Despite their global nature, crypto assets have yet to invade many developing and African countries, where access to food, housing and medicine remains a challenge to overcome, in addition to the obtaining full financial access.
Initiatives such as Pink Care Token are an effective way to help communities in regions in difficulty, while capitalizing on transparency which is one of the distinctive features of the blockchain technology that supports the project.
All funds that are paid into the project and delivered to Uganda can be traced in the blockchain, of course.
Contributors are encouraged to join the campaign by donating at: https://www.binance.charity/period-poverty
The funds will be used to end the “period of poverty” by providing sanitary products to Ugandan women. This will improve their quality of life. Likewise, it can be seen here that the crypto industry can achieve through philanthropic efforts such as BCF’s Pink Care Token.
We can only applaud seeing such projects take shape!
