Racing fans will be happy to know that “Bitcoin Racing” is opening its doors to new entrants. Charles MacKenzie, the co-founder and head of business development of Bitcoin Racing aims to bring awareness to Bitcoin to a wider audience through car racing. By participating in the races himself as a driver, he aims to bring together bitcoin and racing enthusiasts during championships open to everyone.
The racing team Bitcoin Racing has several cars spread across three championships with six drivers at the moment. Officially supported by El Salvador, the cars also feature the bitcoin logo.
Currently, Bitcoin Racing has launched a scholarship program to train new drivers who will participate in future championships.
Bitcoin Racing: When car racing raises awareness about Bitcoin
The Bitcoin Racing organization aims to increase "Bitcoin awareness, education, and adoption, while simultaneously supporting El Salvador, through motorsports advertising," reports Bitcoin Magazine. Charles MacKenzie, established this partnership in London in order to participate in the promotion of tourism and investment in Salvador.
BitcoinRacing first gained fame through a car racing championship called the “ Nankang Tires City Car Cup". The championship takes place over 8 weekends across the UK. The race is broadcast live on YouTube and ITV.
Bitcoin Racing also participates in other championships open to professionals and enthusiasts who wish to race with the bitcoin flag. Among the guests and participants of the races, there are some celebrities such as Sebastian Melrose (Formula Ford 1600) who gained his notoriety by becoming the finalist of the television series on Netflix: "Too hot to Handle".

How to participate in the Bitcoin Racing scholarship
On X (formerly Twitter), Bitcoin Racing clarified the terms of the scholarship program for people who would like to become a driver with the team for an entire season of the City Car Cup. All driver costs will be covered for the entire season.
The selected drivers will be chosen according to their skills on the track, their state of mind, their ability to discuss with public media and social networks.
As part of the selection process, the candidate will have to participate in three rounds:
- 1)A Go-Kart challenge
- 2) a Sim Racing challenge
- 3) The final round where the participant will drive a bitcoin-colored car.
