We've heard a lot about the Yellow Vests lately. But, did you know that the yellow vests have released their own bitcoins.

Amazing? Audacious, we would rather say. Here is a short article to find out a little more about this bitcoin of the yellow vests.

The people's revolt

In October 2018, the new protest movement, known as the “Yellow Vests,” continued to show its discontent. It started with gasoline prices which were deemed unacceptable for the population. Everything was added later. Generalized fed up. A life spent working only to have crumbs. The people could only rebel.

The Yellow Vests, made up mainly of people belonging to the French middle class, called for improvements in living conditions in France. What do the yellow vests want? An increase in the minimum wage, the reestablishment of the solidarity tax on wealth. Some even demand the resignation of President Macron. His career as a former banker at Rotschild is a sort of icing on the cake, abject for many yellow vests. Rothschild is in fact the very symbol of the fortunate, the well-born, in short, of the greedy big pigs who only seek profit.

Behind the demands of the yellow vests, we can find a slight air of anarchy. Maybe not in the literal sense of the word. But, in any case, an awakening of the population who prefer to show their anger than to remain silent. Remember that bitcoin, by its very functioning, flirts with anarchy. Not having a banking intermediary, nor a master institution in the creation of money, is fundamentally anarchist.

A hatred of banks

This hatred of banks is in fact the key point which could help in the massive adoption of bitcoin.

In fact, the yellow vest bitcoin has a certain consistency.

Cryptocurrency could help defend people's right to self-determination by helping to recover monetary sovereignty and free themselves from institutional yoke.

After gaining considerable momentum in December, the movement has since spread across Europe and garnered significant support in countries including Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

It is in this context that the GiletJauneCoin (GJC0) appeared, which aims to contribute to the promotion of the international “Yellow Vest” movement across Europe. The token wants to help the yellow vests create a parallel economic system that is not controlled by companies or central banks.

The project, which began on December 9, 2018, appears to be garnering significant support.

As it currently stands, GJC0 tokens have no intrinsic value and are not tradable on any exchange. For now! This makes it unclear how one might find value or utility in GJC0, or why one would use it instead of other cryptocurrencies like bitcoin (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and the Ethereum.

It remains to be seen whether the bitcoin of the yellow vests, GiletJauneCoin (GJC0) is a real cryptocurrency or not. The site  www.giletjaunecoin.com signed up a little less than two weeks ago and information on the project remains rather scarce.

We don't know if it was a bluff or a real desire to create a cryptocurrency. In any case, we can salute the people behind this initiative. The bitcoin of the yellow vests will certainly have an effect and a consequence.

We know that the adoption of bitcoin by a larger part of the population will come by showing the usefulness of cryptocurrencies.

For the moment, we do not know exactly who is behind the project, although we can assume that their intentions are aligned with those of the yellow vests.
