CityStates Medieval: How to get tokens for free!

Within the Zonebitcoin editorial team, know that Citystates Medieval is a play-to-earn game that we are looking forward to. It is a multi-player strategy game and it is still a very recent type of game in the world of Play-to-Earn games.

As with many games - currently - this is a game under development. The release of the first version is planned this year. The studio has been working on it since April 2019, to tell you how it will be a game that aims to be complete and dense.

The game was designed by Addirktive and it was developed on the Stellar blockchain, which is not very common but it ensures the game has low fees for players and amazing speed.

In this tutorial article, don't worry, we will show you how to register for this game and how to earn your first tokens.

First a little presentation is necessary.

CityStates Overview

Citystates is an Age of Empires type strategy game or rather for LordsMobile for those who know, except that here, it's on the blockchain.

So everything you build in the game will have real value. Your resources are on the blockchain as real digital assets that you can resell at any time.

The goal of the game in CityStates Medieval is to build and expand your city. This is how you can improve and develop your army. Managing your local economy is at the center of the game.

Obviously, it also remains a battle game. The more battles you win, the more tokens and items you earn from the losers. You can organize attacks or defend yourself. Likewise, as is often done in games of this type, you will be able to come together and create clans and guilds to strengthen your armies.

All game assets would be represented by NFTs, naturally whether characters or armor.

As the game is developed on Stellar, the game will also be available on the Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum and EOS networks as well.

Game assets

There will be NFTs for game assets but the game also features two different tokens:

The CSM token: It is a token built on Stellar that can now be traded on XLM and USDC pairs. It is a governance token through which players will be able to vote on certain decisions but above all to receive percentages of the game's profits. This is why many players also opt to have this token.
The HEX token: This is the token that serves as in-game currency to buy or obtain assets such as NFTs. It is also the token that you will receive when you register on the site. HEX is also a token that will generate interest to holders (9% APY) simply by "keeping" its tokens on the account.

In the litepaper, we can read that NFTs such as equipment or players will be hosted on multiple platforms (Stellar, BSC, Ethereum etc).

How to start playing CityStates Medieval

1/ You must go to the CityStates Medieval website

2/ Click on “Register” to register. There you enter your name, first name and username and indicate your email address.

3/ You will receive a confirmation email that you must confirm.

4/ There you can return to the site and click on “login” by entering your username and password.

You arrive on this page which is your dashboard.

5/🥳 You have just received 250 HEX. These are different from the HEX in your balance but according to the development team, they will be transferred to the HEX wallet.

6/ Optional: Please note that you can now connect your MetaMask account by clicking on your name at the top right and on "Setting". There, you will be able to connect your metamask to your account. This is not useful at the moment because the game is not yet available on other networks but at least you will be ready.

Now, if you want to obtain HEX tokens and CMS on your wallet, you need to create an account (if this is not the case) on Stellars.

In fact, you could stop there since the game hasn't been released. That said, if you believe in the project and even better if you are ready to play it, then maybe this is a good time to invest and obtain tokens (at a lower cost).

Create an account on Stellars

There are several wallets and wallets, here we show you the best known and, it seems to us, the simplest method.

1/ Register on the site Stellarx by entering your email address again. We will show you a list of 12 words. Take note of these words, they are your private key. As with Metamask, you manage your funds. Don't lose this list! Once you have them written down somewhere, it's good 😉

2/ Now you need to deposit funds into your wallet. You can deposit different crypto such as BTC or XLM but you can also buy it directly by bank card. This is what we did to save time.

3/ Depending on the crypto you deposited, you may have to make one or two trades to get your HEX or CSM.

Here are the addresses to find the two tokens HEX et CSM. These are tokens that you will find listed under "citystatesm.com" as well.

4/ Once you have your HEX, CSM or both cryptos, you can send them to your game Wallet. To know your wallet address, you must return to your game board, and click on "deposit" to know your address and your memo.

5/ Now you just have to go back to your Stellars account and click on "withdrawal". You no longer have to copy/paste your address without forgetting your memo. (You have to click on the "memo" box under your withdrawal on your Stellars Wallet).

6/🥳 It’s good! You have just sent (if you followed this tutorial) your tokens to your Wallet.
