Once again, this is the big trend, as you probably know by now, in NFT games . After the digital art craze, it's indeed in video games that the wind is blowing.
After Polygon Studio, it is now Horizon Blockchain Games' turn to finance and support the development of NFT games.
The company has just announced a fundraising of $4,5 million for a total amount raised of $13 million. A tidy sum to develop games.
In fact, Horizon Blockchain Games decided to deploy on two main paths:
- Building a wallet hosted on Ethereum: Sequence.build (which was formerly called Arcadeum) and which would be used to manage game items and NFTs. We could then carry out exchanges on it from one player to another for example. This is really the type of wallet suitable for video games and other DeFi platforms that we have all been waiting for for a long time.
- Horizon also developed its own game: A Skyweaver collectible card game
The game Skyweaver is already generating a lot of buzz. It's a virtual card game where players battle and explore a new universe. As is common in this type of game, players can trade, buy, and sell cards as their value increases. It's reasonable to expect Skyweaver to achieve the same level of success as games like Gods Unchained.
Investors in the project include T CMT Digital, The Xchange Company, BITKRAFT Ventures, Khaled Verjee and Zyshan Kaba.

A case to follow 😉
