ZoneBitcoin EditorialToday, with the excitement experienced play to earn games, platforms commonly called "launchpads" (for the idea of a launch pad) are emerging. That said, I would like to point out that at the time of writing this article, these platforms are still in their embryonic stage (like the world of gaming on the blockchain, eh).
These launchpads allow gamers, insiders and crypto investors to invest in upcoming video games. This is the great advent of IGO: Initial Game Offering. You can understand them as ICOs or IDO specific to video games. These are still “new” platforms and interestingly, many of these launchpads dedicated to crypto games are themselves the result of recent fundraising!
The advantage is to be able to buy the tokens at a lower price (because the game is not yet fully developed) and to realize interesting capital gains.
That said, it is also riskier because we cannot predict the future and therefore, it remains an estimate that we can make. The importance of doing in-depth research and observing the right metrics are therefore essential. This is also valid for all crypto projects!
There is no point in rushing the IGO days either, take the time to enter at the right time and not succumb to FOMO above all.
Now let's take a look at these platforms. It is thanks to these platforms that we discovered new games and those which are under development (and which are potentially very profitable).
GameStarter: the all-in-one crypto game launch platform
GameStarter has several assets that will certainly propel it among the most relevant crypto launchpads on the market. In fact, it is certainly a launchpad in which you can invest in crypto games in development, but it is also an NFT marketplace.
Basically (and this is for us the ultimate advantage of GameStarter over others), we will also be able to buy/sell NFTs of video games on the platform. This could attract a very wide audience because ultimately NFTs are still available on secondary marketplaces.
For the moment the platform does not offer IGO (I am writing this article on September 11, 2021), you must remain patient. We are still at the beginning of the industry. Even more than a launchpad, it is above all a crowdfunding platform to be clearer.

Seedy.fund: The launchpad for blockchain games
Many investors and video game players are already talking about Seedy.fund as the leading platform in the field.
Seedy.fund works exactly like other launchpad cryptos. This means that you must already own a certain amount of SEED tokens to be able to participate in the projects. This may be elitist in some way because the token has already gained a lot of value. So, for the first third (250 tokens), this is equivalent today to around 700 euros…
Likewise, the first third is not the one that will open the doors to the best IGOs either. The ideal would be to be in the second third...at 1000 SEED.
In fact, we must not forget that launchpads are still aimed at non-conventional investors but investors nonetheless. Games rigorously selected to provide better performance for investors.

GameFi: The next future gem of Launchpad gaming
This is clearly the platform that we prefer within the ZoneBitcoin team. It is a very complete launchpad dedicated to crypto games.
(If you only had to remember one crypto launchpad, this might be the one to keep carefully).
In fact, we can do many other things on the platform such as Yield Farming for example. Likewise, there will be a space on the platform to be able to try games when they are launched and even receive specific scholarships. Video game scholarships are offered to players who do not necessarily have the means to invest and play a game.
Again GameFi is still a brand new platform (the functions described below are not yet available.
However, as you know, finding a “good” project from the start is also an opportunity to invest in these tokens at a lower price.

Should you invest in Initial Games Offering launch platforms?
This is a question that only you can answer. This will depend on your budgets on the one hand and your appetite for investment in this sector.
If you believe in the expansion of video games on blockchains, you can invest on these platforms or simply use them as advertisers. For example, we didn't invest in all the games in IGO but we discovered them that way.
Beyond investing in play-to-earn games, you should know that investors are strongly turning to gaming launchpads. This is currently a big marked trend as they prove to be important to the video game industry itself. Indeed, as you have seen, they are more than just investment platforms. There are additional features to make the gaming experience even more interesting.
