rare has just launched an NFT platform (officially licensed) for Cricket fans and players.
The solution of layer 2 of Ethereum Polygon established a new division: Polygon Studios in July 2021, which is dedicated to blockchain games and non-fungible tokens (NFT).
It is therefore via the branch of Polygon Studios which aims to be a true gaming and metaverse hub that it all began. Polygon Studio wants to democratize access to NFT and has set up a fund of 100 million dollars to support projects you already know like Decentraland, Opensea, Sandbox, Somnium Space and Decentral Games. Polygon Studios currently reportedly has over 300 decentralized NFT gaming applications.
Thus the Indian startup Rario – supported by Polygon Studio – allows all Cricket fans to collect and exchange items linked to this sport which is very popular in the country.
Rario has partnered with several international cricket leagues, including the Caribbean Premier League and the Lanka Premier League. Rario also collaborated with cricket stars to raise awareness of the project.
Please note that cricket is the second most popular sport in the world after football with India as the leading country in terms of fan base. We tell you this to show the potential of these NFTs.
After NFTs in football with projects like sorare, or the cards that sell for thousands of dollars from NBA Top Shot, all that was missing was cricket to further explode the records linked to NFTs.
