Oh yes, fashion and luxury brands are very interested in NFTs. Besides, who isn’t you ask me?
The first luxury brand to get the ball rolling was Burberry, in August 2021. Gucci had already released its first NFT called “Gucci Aria” which sold for $25,000 at Christie's.
And, now Gucci has actually pushed the concept. The brand has partnered with Superplastic for this new NFT experience called Vault.
In fact, the collection consists of 10 NFTs named SUPERGUCCI.
The series was co-created by Gucci head of design Alessandro Michele and Superplastic artists Janky and Guggimon.
What is SuperPlastic?
I admit that I didn't know about Superplastic before this announcement made by Gucci. In fact, it is an international brand well known for creating celebrity toys or anime. On SuperPlastic, you can buy plastic figurines representing celebrities.
You should also know that Janky and Guggimon are the heroes of Superplastic, who are two kinds of crazy/moronic rabbits who are very visible on social networks. They regularly post parody videos and have millions of followers on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
For example, Superplastic has already collaborated with artists like Gorillaz, Balvin and many others. In fact, SuperPlastic has already launched several successful NFT collections like that of CryptoJankyz with more than 7000 ETH collected, as evidenced by the page on OpenSea.

Faced with such success, the brand was obviously going to repeat it.
It has clearly become his hobby horse today.
And, for the collection with Gucci, it risks making noise too.
The collection will be made up of a total series of 3 parts with the first collection launching on February 1st.
It is a limited series and only 250 ceramics were made. The first set of 10 NFTs will be available on Tuesday, February 1st on the Superplastic website.
What will the SuperGucci collection look like?
These will be SuperStar characters who will then be dressed in Gucci brand clothing, with caps and other things. Each unique NFT will be accompanied by a handmade Italian ceramic sculpture by Gucci and Superplastic. This is perhaps the added value of these NFTs.
This is a limited series and only 250 ceramics will be made. The first sale of 10 NFTs will be available on Tuesday February 1st on the Superplastic website.
We don't yet know the sale price...
This is in fact the beginnings of what will be a hybrid concept between an online store and a virtual museum. We are talking about a museum because the brand will also display iconic clothing from the brand.
We can't tell you more, but you can happily guess it. Fashion is frankly attacking NFTs.
It’s true that it’s an ideal technology for this industry, it’s a fact. Moreover, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana and even Dior have already gotten in on the act.
More popular brands like Gap and Adidas as well, in the supply chain sector more precisely. It is with the Tezos and VeChain blockchain that the monitoring of clothing manufacturing seems to have taken off. However, there is still much to be done in this area.
