Airdrops consist of distributing free tokens of a new project to members of a community. Typically, airdrops are used to reward members who participated in the early stages of the project by interacting with protocols and applications. In this way, protocol developers can find users and liquidity more easily, by “promising” future rewards. Power earn cryptocurrencies for free has always sparked enthusiasm among the crypto community. Airdrops therefore represent a rather simple (sometimes time-consuming) way of receiving tokens.
Recently, the airdrop that made many people happy was the famous airdrop ofArbitrum ($ARB) where users received an average of 600 ARB, which translates to around $800 at the time of writing.
If you want to take advantage of the upcoming airdrops for the year 2023, here is a list of the "potential" distributions of this year and the resources on which you can find more information on the different projects.
zkSync
zkSync Era is a layer 2 rollup on Ethereum which is based on zero-knowledge (ZK) technology which has recently released version 2 (v2). The project has enormous potential, considering the recent fundraising of more than $200 million from Ripio Venture, Blockchain Capital and Dragonfly, to name only the best known. Rollups that are compatible with EVM ( Ethereum Virtual Machine) could greatly improve network scalability, bringing higher speeds to the network.
The skSync ecosystem is growing every day with many popular applications including Uniswap and Aave who indicated they wanted to launch on skSync.

? The account @AirdropOfficial posted an interesting thread on the process to follow to be eligible for the zkSync airdrop:
starknet
Starknet is also a layer 2 rollup type on Ethereum, built with zero-knowledge (ZK) technology which was officially launched in November 2022. It is certainly the most anticipated airdrop by the community currently.
The Starknet company that developed Starkware stated that the STARK token would be used. THE

LayerZero_Labs ($ZRO)
The Mainnet of Layer Zero is already online and you can already interact with it. LayerZero is present on different chains including Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon – Arbitrum, etc.
For the moment, you should know that the airdrop is not confirmed despite persistent rumors. However, to be eligible for the potential aiddrop, you must interact with decentralized applications (Apps) built on LayerZero.
—-> For example, you can transfer funds between channels using a bridge on TheAptosBridge with your Metamask wallet or use an Aptos compatible wallet like Pontem for example.
scroll
scroll is (again) a zk-rollup layer 2 on Ethereum, designed by Ze Zhang, a computer science researcher at New York University. Very similar to zkSync Era, it was designed to be fully compatible with the Ethereum virtual machine. This will therefore allow blockchain developers to deploy their protocols more quickly on the network.
The airdrop is expected because the project has raised more than $30 million from Polychain Capital in particular.
You should know that the Goerli test has been tested by the community and its enthusiasm is still growing for an official launch planned for the end of 2023.
–>You can participate in the alpha Testnet here.
Quasar
Quasar enables cross-chain compatible digital asset management. Among digital assets, we can find NFTs or various digital certificates. The team of developers confirmed the airdrop for the QSR token which would have used the testnet.
You too can interact with the Quasar testnet via Keplr wallet and claim tokens on the faucet made for this use.
Final word on the Aidrops list planned for the year 2023
Of course, the list is not exhaustive here of the airdrops planned for the year 2023. There is for example the aiddrop of'Orbiter Finance, ConsenSys zkEVM or even the airdrop potential of Fuel Network for example.
Remember that not all airdrops are equal and not all offer very attractive rewards. Likewise, there are sometimes rumors that are not verified. Indeed, sometimes, we are really not sure that an airdrop will take place.
We can think for example of the potential Metamask airdrop, which has been rumored for years now without the airdrop having really been confirmed.
What are the sites to find out about future aidrops?
There are numerous sites that inform you of future and potential airdrops 2023. For example, you can go to the most famous site to date: AidropAlert. The site, which does not have the most modern design, lists all current aiddrops and also explains the steps to follow to be eligible.

It's up to you to continue your research on dedicated sites and to follow those on the networks (especially on Twitter) who specialize in actively searching for airdrops such as accounts Official Airdrop ou BestAirdrop
Our recommendations for greater security:
If you want in this activity, it is strongly recommended to create a new address dedicated to this activity. It is indeed advisable not to use your usual wallet because there are many scams that could cause you to lose your funds.
Likewise, there are plenty of airdrops that aren't worth it (mostly). Try to choose airdrops with serious projects and a long-term vision. It's better to focus on a single project that can earn you a significant aiddrop rather than multiple airdrops with minimal rewards.
