Yet another person who claims to be the "real" Satoshi Nakamoto

August 22, 2019

This just came out in the news. A new person claims to be the genius creator of bitcoin: Satoshi Nakamoto.

A lot of media talk about it even if we are rather used to people revealing to us - 10 years after the creation of bitcoin - that they are the real Satoshi Nakamoto.

The “real” Satoshi Nakamoto actually hired a PR firm for his big reveal. This time, it was a carefully crafted three-part “reveal” plan available in an online blog.

I remind you that the number of people claiming to be Satoshi continues to increase. Each time we are treated to a new and real Satoshi Nakamoto before realizing the deception.

But maybe this one is the right one? It's up to you to decide.

But, until then...the evidence was lacking and what was then called in the industry a "Faketoshi"...Yes it can be funny when you think about it.

The revelation was carried out in two/three narrative articles:

  1. “I am Satoshi Nakamoto”: This article begins with an introduction to the concept of Bitcoin, as well as a long but empty description of its history and current misuse.
  2. The big revelation: We learn that the creator of Bitcoin is Bilal Khalid, a Pakistani national who changed his name to James Bilal Caan after emigrating to the United Kingdom.

Is Satoshi Nakamoto a geek from Pakistan?

Satoshi Nakamoto

There are three detailed articles where the so-called Satoshi Nakamoto explains how he came to create bitcoin.

For example, he explains that the word bitcoin is derived from “ Bank of credIT and COmmerce Iinternational”.

Faketoshi explains that he was “obsessed” with the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), which had been liquidated after money laundering accusations, and wanted to return the name to its “glory days”.

Many people in the crypo community consider this argument far-fetched.

Charlie Lee, the founder of Litecoin, mocked this ridiculous explanation, saying that Bitcoin was not the only acronym for crypto. He jokingly explained that he chose the name “Litecoin” as an acronym for “Lime Tea Company Incorporated.”

Yes, it’s true that it’s funny when you think about it…

Why are some people reluctant to believe it?

As soon as the news was published, everyone rushed to it and you can imagine that Tweeter was a great venue.

The first thing that makes the community doubt is the tone used by this so-called Satoshi. The English is not excellent and this even contrasts with Satoshi's cordial and very bristish tone.

That said, spelling and grammatical errors were quickly corrected once the news started gaining traction on Twitter.

There would also be errors in the way bitcoin is presented, which do not coincide with the original white paper.

Why so much emphasis on Chaldean numerology?

This new Satoshi claims to be a follower of Chaldean numerology. Thus, his very alias "Satoshi Nakamoto" was chosen because of its symbolic value in Chaldean numerology.

In choosing a pseudonym, however, the plaintiff described an even more fanciful method.

He claimed to have chosen the name Satoshi because its value in Chaldean numerology matches that of his childhood nickname, Shaikho. Nakamoto is said to have been chosen because of its deep significance and the fact that its Chaldean value, added to Satoshi, was 55, which is a very important mystical number in the practice of ancient numerology.

This information, revealed in parts two and three of Faketoshi's "big reveal," makes it difficult to decide whether this is an extremely elaborate prank or a delusion...

But that's not all !

The inability to access the famous 980 BTC held by Satoshi Nakamoto has been explained in an even more incredible way.

Khalid explained that all the Bitcoins he mined were stored in a wallet located on the hard drive of an Acer laptop, which inexplicably shut down after a night of "rigorous testing."

The laptop was then sent to the “support guy”, where its hard drive was replaced and the billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin lost forever….

It seems a bit big at first glance. But, hey, he himself didn't think it would be worth billions a few years later either...

A commenter on BitcoinTalk, avikz, wrote that Bilal's story is more convincing than that of Craig Wright, who was even more outlandish. It was even Craig Wright who popularized the term Faketoshi.

Bitcoin is just a preamble…

As incredible as it may seem, all this information is just the prelude to the final plan of the “real” Satoshi Nakamoto, Tabula Rasa. This blog post, which will be published soon, is said to contain his vision of the “clean slate” for Bitcoin, alongside a lot of other (true or not) information.

Meanwhile, the Bitcoin community continues to reject any claim to the Satoshi name, barring cryptographic proof that it has access to Nakamoto's original wallets.

➡ This is for the entire community, the only official proof that is required to affirm that a person is the real creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto…

In the meantime, you can have fun reading his whole story on https://satoshinrh.com .. You can also read the letter “Bitcoin and Me” from Hal Finney, a true pioneer of #bitcoin. At least we really know his identity.
